The Leafcares sample tray is an essential accessory to analyse leaf tissue samples with the F serie scanner (Not available for E).
Spread your leaf sample in your tray and rest your scanner over different spots in order to scan your sample correctly.
It is recommended that the traditional sampling tray, used for soil and feed, not be used for leaf samples. As leaf tissue samples are thin (<2mm), the Infrared light used by the scanner will permeate through the sample and read part the composition of the surface below it. Therefore, a special tray has been created with a surface that allows the IR light to only measure the leaves and not the surface below.
Proper cleaning of the white tray is important for optimal analyses, it can be cleaned with clean water without detergents. Please do not use this tray for soil or feed analyses to avoid polluting the surface. The tray is expected to tint slightly over time and through use. This does not affect the analyses.
The AgroCares Scanner is a portable device equipped with a near-infrared (NIR) sensor designed to analyse the composition of soils, feedstuffs, and leaves. It connects to AgroCares' databases to provide real-time nutrient assessments.
