The calibration cap is an essential accessory to maintain the high performance of your scanner. It consists of two sides:
the white side and the yellow side. Proper maintenance of both sides is critical for
optimal scanner functionality.
The white side can be cleaned using a soft, slightly damp towel.
The yellow side is sensitive to moisture and rough brushes. Avoid exposing it to water or abrasive materials.
If the calibration cap is not properly maintained, a replacement may become necessary. To avoid this, always ensure
the scanner is clean before placing it on the calibration cap.

drift. In traditional wet chemistry laboratories, this issue is managed by measuring blank samples—solutions with
known concentrations—and regularly adjusting the calibration lines. For sensor technology, tailored methods are required to effectively
detect and address drift, ensuring consistent accuracy.
At AgroCares, we employ calibration caps to manage drift in our sensor instruments. These caps are designed
with a known spectral signal and are measured both when the Scanner is initialized and between measurements. If drift is detected, a
sophisticated algorithm automatically corrects it, ensuring reliable performance.
The calibration cap is included with the Scanner, and the calibration process is quick, taking only a few minutes to complete.
